Personality:For Angeal, the most important thing to him is his membership in SOLDIER, he’s got high morals, and he is very dedicated to helping Zack to become the best he can be. Nothing stands between Angeal and his honor and pride. His Buster sword(That he was given) is a powerful symbol of his hopes, dreams and honor. He refuses to use it on the grounds that it would feel that he would be damaging his own honor by using it.
Angeal wants to help save the entire planet, and everyone on it, to protect it from the monsters, like the one he believed he had become because of his white wings on the right side of his back. Being a very influential member of SOLDIER, he is looked up to by a lot of the members as a mentor and an idol. He is the ideal SOLDIER operative. His influence, of course is passed on to Zack, because the two spend so much time together.
Angeal has a rather playful side though, often teasing and laughing with Zack, and calling the male “The Puppy” because of how Zack acts. He cares deeply for Zack, and would probably do anything he could for him.
After he learns the process of how he was created, Angeal begins to resent his very being, feeling that he’s nothing but a monster not worthy of honor or dignity. He exiles himself from SOLDIER because of this, and always speaks about how much he hates himself, even though Zack constantly tells Angeal he is not a monster, that his wings are that of Angel’s wings.
History:
Angeal Hewley was born/created 25 years ago to Gillian Hewley, who worked with one Dr.Hollander on Project Gillian, which unsurprisingly was a branch off of the JENOVA project. Gillian was injected with Jenova cells, and Angeal was born 9 months later. When he was a kid, he lived with his mother in Banora Village, and he became friends with Genises Rhapsodos, who was also like Angeal. They grew up together, becoming great friends.
When Angeal was old enough, he joined SOLDIER, and quickly rose to the ranks of 1st class. He became a role model and a mentor to a lot of the lower class SOLDIER members, one of them being Zack Fair. Angeal personally took Zack under his wing (No pun intended) to train him. In a simulation, Angeal and Zack are on a mission to get back a ShinRa train in Midgar, which has been taken over by Wutain troops, who are disguised in Shinra MP uniforms. Zack and Angeal land on the moving train, and Angeal advises Zack to be careful while recovering the train. Awhile later, Angeal tells Zack VIA Cellphone that the wutai troops were using fake uniforms and Ids, after telling him to watch out for any other intruders, the male hangs up the phone, and is not seen again until a simulation Sephiroth nearly kills Zack, but Angeal stops it, and uses his cellphone to stop the simulation. Zack, irritated by this, complains that he was just getting started. Angeal doesn’t reply, but simply hands Zack his broken sword and heads to the exit of the Training room, he leaves the room, giving Zack a few words of advice: “Don’t let go of your dreams, pride or honor, Embrace your dreams”.
A little while later (Say...two hours or so?) Angeal calls Zack and tells him to report to the Briefing Room. Once there, Lazard explains their mission, and to Zack’s surprise, Angeal mentions that he’s recommended Zack on this mission and possibly receive a promotion up to SOLDIER 1st Class. Angeal then pushes Zack away as Zack gets all excited and hugs him with the words “I love you man!!!” Once they get to Wutai’s Fort Tamblin, Angeal explains to Zack that they should keep this quick because the other strike team is in position. After a fight with the sudden appearance of Wutain troops, Angeal inquires if Zack knows about dumbapples, and Zack says he doesn’t, to which Angeal states that Zack is like one and that he’ll never make it to SOLDIER 1st class at the rate he’s going. As they make their way to Tamblin fortress, Angeal explains the background of the Dumbapple(Banora white).
After arriving outside Fort Tamblin, Angeal explains the situation, and explains that when Team B set off the bombs, which will be their signal to enter, and plant the bombs inside. He then moves on to Zack and tells him that he must go around the front of the fortress and then keep the Wutai soldiers distracted. Then, he takes out the Buster Sword, and with much muttering and frowning. Zack tells Angeal he has never seen him use the sword, in which Angeal replies that it would bring wear, tear and rust to it, and that he's a poor man and can be cheap at times, which Zack replies "Yeah no kidding"
After that conversation, a loud explosion is heard, and Angeal tells Zack that the mission has officially begun. After Zack defeats two monsters inside a dojo, Angeal calls him up, telling him he'll be done soon with where he is. Zack then gets attacked by another monsters, and is almost killed, but Angeal intercepts and kills it from behind with his treasured Sword. After explaining that the sword is only a tiny bit less important than Zack's life, he helps Zack up, and the two leave Wutai.
On their next mission, Zack and Angeal are sent to Banora Village, where Angeal grew up with Genises. Here, the wings are revealed,and Angeal states he is a monster, which, Zack disagrees, and says that Angeal is not a monster, and that his wings are that of Angel's wings. Angeal, punches Zack in the stomach, sending him flying, but Zack doesn't fight back, and Angeal casts a spell on Zack, which in turn breaks the floor underneath Zack, sending the SOLDIER down to the slums.
The next time Angeal and Zack meet, is at Highway 0 in Midgar, the two head to ShinRa HQ, and Angeal helps Sephiroth with the Genises clones outside, while Zack goes inside and makes sure Hojo is alright. A fight between Angeal and Genises occurs, as Zack handles Bahamut FURY. After Angeal defeats Genises, he comes back to Zack, and apologizes for leaving him to fight Bahamut FURY alone, then tells him that Genises and Hollander have gone to Modeoheim. Zack then asks if Angeal will come back to SOLDIER, but Angeal is uncertain, and flies off after telling Zack that he has to meet with Lazard.
The final time Zack and Angeal meet..is the final fight. Zack and Angeal fight, and Zack forces himself to kill Angeal, which sends the SOLDIER to the lifestream. Before that though, Angeal gives Zack his sword, and tells him to protect his honor..always.

Disheveled black hair popped out from a heap of rubble, mostly concrete, and a few scraps of old cloth. Mako-enhanced gaze peered around tiredly, and from the head, came a neck, shoulders, arms and finally a torso. Angeal had definitely been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Using his upper body strength wasn't a problem, if his arm would cooperate. He had injured it before, and now it was hurt again. He frowned with concentration, and pulled himself from the rubble, and jumped off of the pile of concrete and old cloth. Little bits of white stuff stuck in his hair, making him look older than his 25 years. He rose his left (uninjured) arm and ruffled his hair, watching as the white bits of drywall and concrete flew out of his hair.
His boots were scuffed up, but he was mostly worried about his body working properly. He rose his arms above his head, and interlocked the gloved fingers together, stretching. He knelt down, and through the hole, he grasped the hilt of The Buster Blade. Pulling it out, he checked for any damage to the blade. This blade was more than just a weapon to hack and slash with, it represented his very honor, and his dreams. He took out a polishing cloth, and wiped the blade down, and smiled a little bit as it shone with life. Good, there were no scratches on it.
A frown painted his strong features as he glanced around the ruined city of Nibelhiem. He had been here only a few times before, but the memories were a little foggy. He had no idea why he was here or why he was even alive it was very confusing for him. He knew Zack had killed him, despite the youth's obvious reluctance. Speaking of that, he glanced over his shoulder, and sighed with relief at not seeing that monstrous white wing. Just when he thought it was safe, a unit of men surrounded him. Angeal's brilliant blue gaze narrowed, and he grasped the SOLDIER blade he used instead of the Buster Blade. So, a fight was what they wanted, hm? Well, Angeal was only too happy to oblige. These guys had been hunting him for weeks before they finally found him.
To add to that, his wing made an appearance, which made him flinch, because of his bruised shoulder. He was still a monster, even now. His gaze glittered with a cold, calculating spark, and he waited. A masked Hunter lunged at him and Angeal acted accordingly, using a down-slash, he flinched as blood splattered on him, and watched as the first assaulter fell to the ground in a bloodied heap. He hadn't fought in awhile, but it seemed he hadn't lost his touch. Which was a relief.
He'd definately need a shower after this...
