An almost bitter laugh escaped Reno's lips as he received a shove from a passerby on the street and some obscenities from said passerby were flung in his direction. Shaking his head, he kept a smirk in place as he walked away and further down the street. Even if he felt pretty bitter about such occurencies, which weren't all that rare in actuality, Reno couldn't really blame people for assuming that ShinRa were just scum. After all, they were partly to blame for all that had happened to the Planet. There was no way that they could argue that. But...they wanted to atone for what they had done. After all, Rufus was the anonymous financier of the WRO, and was wanting to help set right all the wrongs that ShinRa had caused; he had made that much clear to some people. The majority however still thought of ShinRa like they did in the past.
Currently, however, Reno was pretty much unaware of the fact that a new danger was lurking and had pulled pieces of different worlds and thrown them together to make one new one. He hadn't left Midgar or Edge yet, and neither had anyone else he had spoken to, so for the moment he was quite blissfully unaware. Right now he was feeling something like an errand boy, collecting something from an old lab in the ruins of Midgar, and was now making his way back to HQ. He hadn't questioned what the contents could be on the somewhat tiny box that he was carrying in the inside pocket of his loose suit jacket. After all, it wasn't a part of his job to know, this time at least. So he had held himself back from asking quesions, even if he really was curious about what was in the odd little box.
His surroundings were somewhat dull, given how much of a wreck Midgar was in now, after Meteor had been at it. It made him frown slightly. A part of him wished that things could have stayed simple, instead of getting bad or complicated that they had, and the world had ended up poisoned, so to speak. Not that...they hadn't been poisoned even before Sephiroth and Meteor by ShinRa and it's Mako usage, but that was besides the point... Kicking a loose stone on the ground, Reno hummed to himself as he found himself walking at a more leisurely pace. As he passed a street corner, something that he caught out of the corner of his eye got his attention. Turning his head, his aqua eyes looked down to the end of the street on his left, where Midgar should have ended.
Walking closer until he was at the very outskirts of Midgar, Reno was dumbfounded. He just stood for a moment, unable to do anything. Um...what? His eyes widened and his mouth opened slightly as he tried to summon words for what he was seeing. "W-what the..." What the hell...? This wasn't how things should have look- what the hell was that over there? An odd looking creature that he didn't recognise was standing quite some distance away. Where the hell had the original landscape gone? This is too fucking weird...
