Personality:
Reno is an easy person to misunderstand. A lot of the time you can find him playing around or making jokes, acting like he doesn’t take anything seriously. However, his attitude can change in a split second, and he can go from joking around to being completely serious immediately. As well as joking around, clearly having a sense of humour, he can be somewhat cynical and lazy in comparison to his work attitude.
He takes his line of work seriously, and always gets the job done efficiently and without asking any questions. Despite his goofing off and whatnot, Reno is very dedicated to his job, to Rufus and to the Turks. They are the only things he really has left; the closest thing he has to resembling a family, and that’s what he thinks of them as. His family. He’d die for any single one of them, or destroy whatever hurt or killed any of them. His actions can also be rather sadistic on occasion and he has a rebellious temperament, in contrast to his laid-back attitude.
History:
Reno grew up in the Slums, in Sector 7. His life as a child was…hell, to put it simply. His mother basically drank herself to death, and he never knew his father. They lived in squalor, and they often had to steal food and other things. This was how Reno was noticed by ShinRa when he was eleven. By that point, his mother had just passed away, and thus he was living by himself in the slums, stealing, and getting mixed in with a gang. He caught the attention of ShinRa by trying to steal, and succeeding, supplies from some of the infantry that were present, as well as some Turks. The Turks caught on to what he had done, however, and pulled him in. They saw his potential, and recruited him in to train him.
Reno officially joined the Turks when he was sixteen, and he immediately started rising up the ranks. He got a reputation for being the fastest out of all the Turks, and one of the most deadly in combat. He rose to Second-in-command after Tseng took charge, and has remained there since. When Reno received orders to blow up the Sector 7 plate, he never asked questions, just like usual, but there was another reason for agreeing to the mission. Sector 7 was the place he grew up, and was where every single bad memory he had came from. However, afterwards, he felt slightly sickened and he knew he deserved every single injury he had from fighting Cloud, Tifa and Barret – and he was injured quite badly.
After Meteor, the only people who really remained with “ShinRa” were himself, Rude, Tseng, Elena, and of course Rufus. They retreated to Healin so that Rufus could heal and they could hide from the ShinRa-hating world. That was when the geo-stigma had hit. Rufus got sick, as well as many other people. The Remnants, Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo, appeared when Reno and the others were sent to retrieve Jenova’s head from the Northern Cave, and started wrecking havoc around Edge.
Reno wanted his revenge for what they done to Elena and Tseng, and so took the first opportunity that arose for him to do so. However, that led to him and Rude ‘losing’ a battle; something that doesn’t sit well with Reno. To this day, he swears that if he ever sees them again, he’ll get his revenge the second time. He would struggle to admit it out loud, but he’s thankful that Cloud and his friends were around to save the world for a second time. Right now, the Turks and Rufus are working on reforming ShinRa Corp., and Reno is bracing himself for all the crap that is going to aimed in their direction.

Reno tapped his EMR against his shoulder lightly as he received a few nervous glances from some of the people he passed by. Well, some were nervous, some others were filled with hatred. Okay sure, ShinRa had done a lot of bad things, but they were trying their best to atone for what they had done. But what was it going to take for people to see that or realise it, instead of their visions still being clouded by hate, by fear, or their close-mindedness making them blind to all else except what they think to be true; what they claim to know is true. Really...what ever happened to forgiveness?, the redhead thought to himself as he let out a small sigh. He wasn’t normally really pessimistic, but even he didn’t see how ShinRa could atone for all it had done. However, the fact that they, himself included, were trying to make amends spoke volumes by itself, in Reno’s opinion.
Shaking his head, bright red hair waving and falling into his face with the movement, he told himself not to dwell on it too much. He couldn’t really blame the people of Wutai though for disliking ShinRa, because of the Wutai War. There ya go again, Reno... He kicked a loose stone that was on the ground in front of him, watching it skitter across the ground and eventually come to a stop some distance away. He’d just finished a mission not long ago, and was taking the rest of the afternoon ‘off’ to just relax for a bit. Nothin’ wrong with that, right? He would probably get into a bit of trouble later on after he returned to HQ, but oh well, what did it matter? It was just likely to maybe be another pay dock from Rufus that he got – just another to add to the always-growing list of other pay docks he had gotten before over the years.
Glancing around at his surroundings, Reno supposed that Wutai was alright. It wouldn’t be his chosen location for a vacation or anything though, like it had been for Elena that one time a few years back. No, Reno’s chosen location would be Costa del Sol. Hey, who would he be if he didn’t enjoy the resort’s bar and all the lovely ladies in swimsuits? I’d be a prude. However, he supposed that the nature and everything in Wutai was nice, in its own kind of way. It was a different, and a fairly nice change of scenery for the redheaded Turk, hence why he had decided to stick around after finishing with his mission. Starting to hum to himself, he walked through a bit of the edge of the forest, past the trees, completely unaware, for once, that there was another person also present also.
