Where... am I...?
She might not be able to remember much of her life before waking up in Twilight Town, but one thing was sure: this wasn't home. It wasn't, it couldn't be.
Then again, with the little she could recall, how could she know what was home? Would it bring a feeling back? Something warm, maybe? She had no idea. The truth was, she didn't even know. Her memories were blurred, vague and distorted; the little she remembered wasn't all that pleasant and her best memories - those of her best friends, before things became really complicated - seemed pretty hazy. All Xion could really do for now was wander aimlessly; hoping to find a safe place to stay...
... at least until she managed to recall where her home was, or until those things vanished. Yes, there were a bunch of small black, crawly things that sometimes appeared out of nowhere. She wasn't sure of what they were, but when they appeared, a strange object would come to her aid. It looked like a key, and Xion had no idea what it could be.
Hazy thoughts and feelings crawled in the back of her mind as she walked around the streets, looking around for something, anything new. She was distracted from her reflections, though, as a strange man bumped into her. "Sorry,"she mumbled, and watched the stranger walk away. She sighed slightly as a realization hit her.
"... Maybe I should have asked where I was..."

Journal Entry #202 This is my first time, venturing through the eastern shores of the new world, far from my home in Twilight Town and my ever worrying sister. Things prove to be peculiar and then some, with every step I take. As a matter of fact, I've hopefully begun to have made some new friends that I could return to. As I come across this town of Midgar, I am left to wonder of this place's own's mysteries. After all, I've already heard quite a bit from the folks of it's outskirts. So, I am left to ask of Midgar; how will you pleasure me on this first visit?...
Here's hoping.
- N.
Nana was a stranger in a strange land. Wandering about the industrial utopia of Midgar, she let out a sigh as people passed her by. It was populated enough, and yet, why does it feel so much like a ghost town? A possible case to solve, perhaps? Maybe, maybe not. In her own honesty, Nana was getting quite tired from all of her own prior traveling, and so, she felt herself flopping onto the side of the building. The day, as it was, was quite silent and uneventful, even for her standards...
Quite uneventful, indeed.
Suddenly, however, Nana begun to hear the faint sound of footsteps, her beaming eyes darting out to meet a strange figure in black. She wasn't too tall, as it seemed, and her odd coat obscured the rest of her body. What Nana did see of the girl, as she would say, was as cute as a young woman could get. The girl certainly seemed lost, as Nana observed her closer, and so she started to reach to her closer, a soft and rare smile on her as she gave an honest effort of kindness.
"Well, fancy day it is, isn't it...um...miss?"

Luneth, though, wasn't a stranger to this place at all. He had visited here a few times since the world seemed to have changed. This place is pretty big, you know? Luneth had yet to explore the whole city, it was often quite bustling and Luneth held pent up excitement that others probably would not understand. Luneth's sword was hanging off his back, held there by a strap on the scabbard. He held a coin in one hand, between his thumb and index finger and his other hand was on the back of his head. He walked casually through the city, easily avoiding people he could knock into while examining the small coin he held. He found it on the ground earlier and you know how it goes. Lucky coins are often the ones you find on the ground in the middle of a crowded area.
"Hehe, a lucky coin. Probably my lucky day too," Luneth thought out loud, as he turned another corner. Repositioning the coin on his fingers, he proceeded to flip it, the coin flinging into the air as he continued walking. The coin fell right back into his hand with no problem. Or so he wished had happened. He didn't quite catch it, and the small piece of Gil went bouncing off his fist. "Agh!" Luneth accidentally cried out, as he tried to catch the coin in midair. He missed however and the coin fell down, the impact sent it jumping again and again then Luneth soon found himself chasing the coin, the fact that they were going downwards helped the coin move faster. He zipped through the crowds, ducking under people and objects. Why he was bothering chasing the Gil, he didn't know. Maybe it's like an instinct to chase after things that keep moving, "But I'm certainly not a dog." He thought to himself.
Eventually the crowds thinned out as they got to a more secluded area. Luneth neared the coin and extended his hand out to catch it, but then... -WHAM- "Ouufh!" He cried out, as his foot impacted with a rock jutting out. "God damn it-" Was all he could let out before he was sent rolling and sprawling, literally, down the quiet street. Everything was a blur as it went by, but he caught a glimpse of two figures right in front of him. "Fu-" He let out, before with a loud CRASH he had impact with several barrels that was leaning against a wall right in between the two other people. "Uhgghh..." He groaned, sprawled against the remains of barrels, his vision blur as he tried to regain his 'composure'. He blinked, before looking up at the two females, "Uhh, hello." He said, with a nervous grin.

Midgar was her type of town. Many buildings, busy people, lots of rich people and fools who just asked to get their valuable things snatched away. The big crowd moved like a mass of grey smudge without destination and purpose. She picked a few pockets as she passed through the smudge of people, nothing much. A few gil at least, it would help her live at least. A silver haired boy caught her eye. He was not like the smudge of excuse for people. He played with a gil and talked to himself as he did. He had a kind of shine around him. Like a person who had hope and dreams, who believed in a future and happiness. Sanae was drawn to this shine, so different from her own aura, full of greed and selfishness. She decided to follow him. Sanae wanted to see why he was able to smile like that.
The boy dropped his coin and followed it. Why bother with the small fry? Sanae followed, she found a group of barrels leaned against a wall and used them to jump up on the roof. She had always liked high heights. Running in the same speed as the silverhaired she jumped from roof to roof. Sanae had the grace and agility of a cat that only comes with practice and talent. The boy lost his footing and tripped, colliding with a couple of barrels. Heh! Amateur! The coin keep on rolling, not wanting to stop having tasted freedom. By some reason she wanted to catch it. The coin seemed important to the silverhair after all. What am I thinking? She jumped down from the roof, landing on the coin, stopping its run. With the coin in her hand she walked back to the place where the boy had fallen.
